GTT Communications, a provider of networking and security as a service, is entering 2026 with an updated strategic direction following a year of platform and services expansion. A key element of this strategy is the continued development of GTT Envision, the company’s AI-enabled networking platform designed for global use across multiple cloud environments.
The company’s focus in 2026 is grouped into three main areas:
Growth in Services Portfolio: GTT plans to expand its service offerings, including AI-enabled network security with anomaly analysis capabilities. It also aims to further develop its hybrid cloud services by enhancing compute capacity and delivering a managed environment that integrates edge, private, and public cloud infrastructure.
Advancements in the GTT Envision Platform: The company intends to continue investment in its global Tier 1 internet backbone and associated infrastructure. It is also expanding partnerships, including in DDoS mitigation capabilities. On-premises capabilities through GTT EnvisionEDGE are set to be extended to support AI workloads and edge computing requirements. GTT EnvisionDX is also planned to introduce enhanced user interaction features, including zero-touch provisioning and contextual digital experiences.
Use of GTT’s AI Factory: The AI factory is intended to support both operational and customer-facing functions. This includes network performance optimisation, predictive analysis, and workflow automation to support productivity. Expanded API integrations are also planned to increase automation across its partner ecosystem.
In 2025, GTT reported a capacity of more than 700 terabits across its Tier 1 network and growth in its Enhanced Services portfolio, including Managed SD-WAN and professional services. The company also expanded customer relationships across multiple sectors and made changes to its executive leadership team.
Platform developments in 2025 included collaborations with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies to develop an AI factory infrastructure, and an expanded partnership with Palo Alto Networks to support its Secure Connect portfolio, including SASE offerings. GTT EnvisionCORE was also expanded with additional global locations, supporting network services, AI-related workloads, and DDoS mitigation capacity.
The company received industry recognition across multiple networking and managed services categories in the U.S. and Europe, reflecting its position in the market as it moves into 2026.
