SailPoint listed on the Nasdaq, has introduced SailPoint Agentic Acceleration, a methodology designed to help enterprises transition from on-premises identity systems to the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.

According to SailPoint, Agentic Acceleration automates parts of the modernisation process, reducing the time required for certain migration activities from months to days, with the aim of lowering risks and accelerating implementation.

Cloud transitions have traditionally required significant time and resources and can involve operational risks. As part of the offering, SailPoint has introduced a Virtual Architect, an AI-based tool that translates legacy configurations into a cloud-ready framework, reducing the amount of manual work involved in the migration process.

Rather than relying solely on a traditional lift-and-shift approach, the Virtual Architect provides a pre-deployment view of customer applications and operations within the Identity Security Cloud. This allows organisations to assess and validate how their environments may function in the cloud before migration begins.

SailPoint states that Agentic Acceleration is available at no additional cost to customers upgrading from IdentityIQ or certain competing solutions to the Identity Security Cloud.

The company also says the service may benefit its partner ecosystem by automating early stages of cloud migration projects, potentially enabling partners to accelerate customer transformation efforts and focus on more complex identity security requirements.
