Vasion has introduced Intelligent Print Automation (IPA), a solution designed to use common “File > Print” workflows in workplace environments to help reduce the creation of unmanaged or unstructured enterprise data.

Each time employees use the File > Print function—such as printing documents, converting them to PDFs, or scanning them into unmanaged folders—it can contribute to unstructured data that may fall outside formal compliance systems and automated AI workflows.

IPA is designed to integrate with a wide range of applications and route documents to different destinations, with the aim of keeping business information more accessible and centrally managed.

Some industry reports estimate that around 80% of enterprise information is unstructured, and that this proportion may increase over time. With increased use of AI in document generation and processing, unmanaged document workflows are increasingly viewed as a governance and data management challenge for some organisations.

According to PrinterLogic (now part of Vasion), IPA is intended to run on existing infrastructure without requiring system migration for current customers. The Vasion agent is reported to be deployed across a large number of enterprise endpoints and organisations globally.

Alongside its existing print management capabilities, IPA extends functionality to include tools such as eForms, eSignature, OCR-based storage, and document processing, which can be configured through no-code workflow automation.

For partners, IPA is positioned as an additional capability within Vasion’s platform that may be relevant to discussions around workflow automation and compliance-related document handling.

New customers can access the platform through a single integrated system, which aims to reduce the need for multiple separate vendors and integrations for similar functionality.

The platform includes features such as eForms, eSignature, document processing, and no-code workflow automation, and is described as being designed to meet common security and compliance standards, including certifications such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO benchmarks.
