Colt DCS appoints Fumi Takei as Vice President and head of Japan

Colt DCS strengthens its presence in Japan with the appointment of Fumi Takei, aimed at expanding data centre capacity and enhancing digital infrastructure.

Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) has officially announced the appointment of Fumi Takei as Vice President and Head of Japan. With Japan being a crucial market for Colt DCS, Takei's new role will help establish the company's presence and growth across the region.

Currently, Colt DCS manages 134 MW of IT capacity in Japan, with plans to expand to an additional 200 MW. Such growth requires an alignment of Colt DCS’s global functions, and Takei brings a wealth of experience ideally suited to this task.

In this key leadership position, Takei will oversee the coordination of operations among global functions, leading collaboration with customers, partners, regulators, and other stakeholders integral to Japan's digital infrastructure development.

Takei brings over 18 years of diverse experience spanning real estate investment, infrastructure, and capital markets. Their comprehensive expertise across international organisations positions them well to support Colt DCS's ongoing expansion efforts.

The leadership appointment comes at an important time for Colt DCS, as it continues to scale investments in facilities equipped to support AI infrastructure.
