Emitel launches Data Centre Services

Emitel, Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited's portfolio company in Poland, has acquired a data centre in a location just outside Warsaw, with 2 MW of total IT load capacity and scope for future expansion, allowing it to launch data centre services.

This is a milestone for Emitel, marking its entry into the data centre market and further cementing its position as Poland’s leading digital infrastructure and telecommunications provider.

The new facility has been developed to Tier III+ reliability standards, as defined by the Uptime Institute and currently offers co-location, cloud computing and data processing services to Polish and Pan European enterprise customers.

Maciej Pilipczuk, CEO of Emitel, said: “Entering the data centre market is a natural evolution for Emitel and another step in delivering our strategy of becoming one of the leaders of Poland’s digital transformation. Our facility is a state-of-the-art data centre located in a highly convenient and accessible location, particularly for customers operating within the Warsaw metropolitan area. We provide best-in-class services, ensuring security, reliability and scalability. This development also reflects the rapid growth of technologies such as artificial intelligence, which require ever-greater computing power and advanced infrastructure”.

Steven Marshall, Executive Chairman of Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Management, added: “Emitel’s expansion into the data centre market in Poland is a milestone for the company and reflects the strength of Emitel’s operational platform and management team, as well as the increasing demand for secure, resilient and scalable digital infrastructure across Central and Eastern Europe. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Emitel’s management team as they continue to grow in this new sector”.
