Airports and airlines can streamline operations with network solutions designed to reduce the complexity of managing connectivity. SITA Campus Network, developed in collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise Aruba Networking, is intended for airport and transport environments.
Managing networks across multiple locations and devices can be complex and costly. Fragmented networks can affect performance and increase the risk of disruption. SITA Campus Network provides a fully managed network across wired and wireless environments.
The solution is built on technology from HPE, which provides enterprise networking systems for large-scale wired and Wi-Fi networks. It combines connectivity with centralised, cloud-based management to support consistent performance across airport campuses and transport hubs.
It includes AI-based capabilities to improve network visibility, support earlier detection of issues, and automate aspects of troubleshooting. The system also provides centralised management, allowing infrastructure and devices to be monitored and controlled across both on-site and remote environments.
The network is designed for high-density areas such as terminals, hangars and airline operations centres, supporting large numbers of users and devices, including during periods of peak demand.
As part of SITA’s managed service offering, the network is centrally operated while allowing the use of different technologies and vendors. This can reduce the need for on-site support, spare equipment and ongoing training, enabling IT teams to focus on other tasks.
Where required, the campus network can connect to SITA’s global wide-area network services, which link more than 600 airports worldwide. This provides connectivity from local sites to a wider network.
The service is available in more than 145 countries with 24/7 operational support. By reducing hardware requirements and simplifying operations, it can lower upfront and ongoing costs. Its pay-as-you-go model allows organisations to scale usage based on demand, with deployment across multiple locations.
