Thorn and Zumtobel present data centre lighting solutions

Explore how Thorn and Zumtobel's unified lighting approach aims to address energy efficiency, reliable operation, and streamlined control in data centres at Data Centre World 2026.

The lighting brands, Thorn and Zumtobel, part of the Zumtobel Group, are showcasing a strategy for data centre lighting at the upcoming Data Centre World 2026. Their focus is directed towards three outcomes: reduced energy consumption, reliable operations, and streamlined control across various data centre environments.

The press conference provides a look into the brands' practical blueprint for modern data centres. Central to this showcase will be the intelligent LITECOM system, which effectively integrates a curated selection of luminaires. This synergy aims for consistent specification, hassle-free installation, and seamless operation, thereby accelerating project timelines, enhancing visual quality, and simplifying maintenance over the long haul.

Commitments to sustainability are demonstrated in the design of the exhibition stand, which adheres to Zumtobel Group’s green principles. The stand incorporates reused and modular components salvaged from past events. Reducing unnecessary waste, the design opts for minimal new build elements, while graphics are managed to consolidate printing and reduce excess.

Features at Stand F140:

  • Control: LITECOM provides functionalities such as scheduling, presence and daylight strategies, scene setting, and portfolio standardisation.
  • Continuous-Row Infrastructure: TECTON II, launched for rapid, tool-free assembly, is flexible for future adaptations.
  • Application Coverage: Versatile lighting solutions designed for white spaces, technical areas, offices, and exterior zones.

Product Selection:

  • Thorn: Aquaforce Pro, ForceLED, Piazza, Omega Pro 2, IQ Beam
  • Zumtobel: IZURA, TECTON II, MELLOW LIGHT, AMPHIBIA, LANOS

All products are controlled by the LITECOM system.

Neil Raithatha, Head of Marketing for Thorn and Zumtobel Lighting UK & Ireland, emphasises the importance of consistency, efficiency, and straightforward management in data centre lighting. Their presentation at the event underscores the integration of luminaire solutions with a control platform — a combination designed to deliver swiftly and operate reliably throughout data centre spaces.
