Panduit launches compact high-performance Keystone RJ45 Jacks

Latest design increases useability in dense structured cable environments.

Panduit has introduced its new compact RJ45 keystone modules providing easy integration into standard keystone receptacles from a wide range of switch manufactures, providing essential connectivity within increasingly dense structured cable installations. Network performance relies on the quality of the connection between socket and cable and according to ISO/IEC 11801, keystone jacks are a central component of structured building cabling.

The Panduit SKJ6X88BL RJ45 Keystone jack offers high levels of operational reliability, modularity and ease of maintenance, and is PoE compatible, offering superior EMC behaviour and fault tolerance. The low installation depth (30mm) of the SKJ6X88BL is particularly advantageous in conjunction with hollow wall boxes, flush-mounted boxes or parapet ducts, becoming the standard modular interfaces for network connections.

Panduit’s Keystone RJ45 Jacks are manufactured with a thermoplastic housing offering high mechanical strength, an IDC (Insulated Displacement Connector) and a front RJ45 connector in accordance with

IEC 60603-7. Network experts recommend specific cable types for keystone sockets, Cat 5e/Cat 6, preferably

Cat 6a/Cat 7 twisted pair cable, in accordance with IEC 61156-5. And installation in accordance with

EN 50174-1/2, including defined minimum bend radii and stripping lengths.

In accordance with ISO/IEC 11801, keystone jacks, such as Panduit’s SKJ6X88BL RJ45, are central components of structured building cabling, and are used in office buildings, industrial halls and data centres, for VOIP (Voice over IP) and other IP based services, high speed internet – up to 10GBASE-T and data centres for out-of-band connections.
