HCL Technologies forms strategic OEM agreement with SAP

This OEM agreement will help HCL’s clients get the best of the two worlds: unparalleled SAP functionalities supported by HCL’s deep industry knowledge and experience. This collaboration builds on HCL and SAP’s recent alliance announcement to help enterprises accelerate digital transformation and transition to the cloud using RISE with SAP. Pursuant to this, HCL aims to bring its suite of products and IPs to support a complete business transformation for its customers.

HCL has been an SAP partner for more than 25 years and currently has the distinction of being a global strategic services partner. The OEM agreement will continue to strengthen this alliance and help HCL to directly reach end clients globally. It will also enable HCL to set up a global distribution channel and appoint its own channel partners to distribute or sell applications/solutions built on SAP BTP, such as the HCL Workload Automation enterprise automation solution.

As an independent software vendor (ISV), HCL Technologies can now more efficiently and effectively help clients build, integrate and extend business applications with a combination of technologies for database and data management, analytics, and application development and integration using SAP BTP. It will help HCL create industry pertinent digital solutions and services while modernizing existing applications and services for its clients. Moreover, HCL can grow its market for these new solutions by offering them on the SAP Store online marketplace.
