Atos provides architecture services to drive DVSA transformation

The agreement, which sees the contract run for a further year, means Atos continues to maintain an enterprise architecture capability to deliver a range of technology infrastructure solutions and services for the DVSA, enabling the agency to enhance its frontline services through the delivery of strategic digital solutions.

The provision of AaaS by Atos strengthens the DVSA’s control over its digital ecosystem, including financial control of large digital products, as well as supporting the agency’s relationship with the Department for Transport and central government.

In addition to delivering a cohesive architecture strategy, governance and assurance service, Atos provides impartial guidance and direction to the DVSA, supporting the strategic objectives of its digital transformation programme.

Mark Giles, Head of Application & Infrastructure at DVSA, said: “The Architecture as a service contract with Atos is an integral part of our digital transformation strategy, as we move to become a digitally-enabled organisation.

“Creating and maintaining a range of architecture services for our business will continue the transformation of our frontline services, with innovative, modernised technology and processes that deliver efficiencies and enhance the end-user experience.”

Commenting on the agreement, Clay Van Doren, Atos CEO, UK & Ireland, said: “This contract signals a deepening of our relationship with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and we are delighted to be playing a crucial role in developing the agency’s digital transformation programme. The partnership further cements our status as a leading architecture services provider and digital transformation partner to public services providers.”
