Currently, Denmark is opening up its energy sector and reworking the regulatory framework to bring in more transparency for customers and pave the way for setting up a competitive market for energy suppliers and utility companies. The new IT platform will help NRGi   and also lay the foundation for future digital initiatives.  It will also enhance the user experience for NRGi's end customers.

Wipro will design, build, host and deploy a Customer Information System (CIS) for NRGi in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model. The CIS as a Service" solution is based on Oracle's Customer Care and Billing platform, Meter Data Management platform and Oracle CX Solutions. This platform will drive the digital transformation at NRGi to enable the utility company to become more customer centric and acquire more customers.

In addition, this IT platform will enable NRGI to offer CIS services to other small to medium sized utility companies in Denmark through a 'Service Bureau' model, to boost its revenue growth. Technology advances are driving legacy CIS system replacements across the utilities industry. A hosted CIS solution, with a scalable and attractive commercial proposition eliminates the need for utility companies to make upfront investments in prohibitively expensive solutions.

Gert Rieder, CEO of NRGi Infrastructure AS said, "We have been looking to develop new CRM platform that can offer a tool for simpler and more efficient communication with our customers. We are happy to have Wipro as our IT partner as the company is the one of the best system integrators of Oracle Solutions and has one of the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions in the industry. In addition to helping us become more customer centric, the new IT platform will also create an opportunity for us to grow in the Danish market. Our goal is to double our turnover in five years."
Carl-Henrik Hallstr?m, Head of Nordic Region, Wipro Limited said, "We are delighted to have been chosen as NRGi's IT partner. We are confident that our extensive domain experience in the energy and utilities sector along with our expertise in the integration of Oracle solutions will help us enable NRGi's growth objectives."
