Boliden is a Nordic metals company with focus on sustainable development and global operations. Under the new agreement, Tieto will supply the tools and services needed to create a `One Boliden Workplace?, a standardized platform that will be used throughout the group’s global business units. The platform will be based on Tieto Energized Workplace, a comprehensive set of tools that give users easier access to applications, secure data and helps enable a more mobile workforce.

“By implementing `One Boliden Workplace?, we expect to improve End User Experience, flexibility and reduce costs by using one corporate standard across our operations. The solution will also ensure faster IT support while providing a more stable and predictable service level” says G?ran K?rdel, CIO at Boliden.

Tieto Energized Workplace is part of a wide-ranging set of End User solutions aimed at boosting productivity for an increasingly mobile workforce using multiple devices.

”We are very excited for this opportunity to deliver and develop Boliden’s End User Services. Supporting Boliden is perfectly aligned with Tieto’s strategic targets and our focus on Nordic Metal and Mining companies. We have already worked together for quite a long time but End User Services is a new area in our collaboration. We know that the Tieto Energized Workspace framework will be a perfect foundation for the future `One Boliden Workplace? environment.” says Vesa Rantala, Customer Executive at Tieto.
