Dimension Data has been awarded Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Global Partner status in Europe.

The award, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s highest accreditation status - comes on the back of Dimension Data’s acquisition of certain subsidiaries of NextiraOne in February this year and subsequent rebranding to Dimension Data in April. This acquisition brought a strong communications business to Dimension Data in Europe with a large client base of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology users in the SMB, Public Sector and Service Provider market sectors.

Under the award, Dimension Data is qualified to design, deliver, implement and support Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s wide-ranging portfolio of enterprise solutions, covering unified communications, contact centre solutions, network infrastructure and data centre solutions for businesses and the public sector.

Andrew Coulsen, Dimension Data Europe CEO said, “This is the fifth year that NextiraOne /Dimension Data has been awarded Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Global Partner status, which is a fantastic achievement. Dimension Data operates with a multi-vendor technology partner strategy that is focused on ensuring we have the ability to deliver IT solutions and services to our clients based on the technology they wish to deploy in their corporate networks. By achieving this status, users of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology can be assured they will continue to receive exceptional IT solutions and services to support and help grow their business across Europe, and in time globally.”

Coulsen added, “In addition, our newly acquired scale in the SMB market complements our traditional strength in the commercial and enterprise market space. Our strategy in Europe is to grow this business across the region and we’re already seeing new opportunities for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise based solutions and services for existing and new clients across Europe.”

Commenting on the announcement Michel Emelianoff, CEO of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise said ‘We are delighted to recognize Dimension Data with this Global Partner status. Together, we have a long track record of success working as one to help enterprises transform the way people communicate and embrace new communication uses and models. I’m looking forward to a very successful partnership for both of our companies in the months and years to come”.
