VeliQ changes management team

VeliQ has announced changes to its management team. As of 1 August, Alex Bausch, founder of VeliQ, stepped down from his position as CEO of VeliQ. Bausch comments, "I am extremely proud of what VeliQ has achieved in a short amount of time. Now the time has come to hand over the responsibility to a new group of people. I will continue to concentrate on the areas closest to my heart and focus on the overall vision of the product."

Ron van Bijsterveld was appointed as Chief Technology Officer in June last year and Edgar Jager, formerly of SAP, was named Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales earlier this year. Van Bijsterveld and Jager will together take on the role of CEO to manage VeliQ jointly.

"In my view, VeliQ is on the eve of a great international breakthrough, thanks to the recent partnerships that we have concluded with major companies such as KPN, Portugal Telecom, Oi, Canopy and Vimpelcom," says Jager.

In addition to Van Bijsterveld and Jager, the management team will consist of: Ronald Wanink (Chief Technology Officer), Richard Pikaar (Chief Services Officer) and Joachim de Sterke (Chief Financial Officer). The management team will be aided by the Supervisory Board, consisting of Kim Wiencken (General Partner at Danish company Northcap) and Peter Arensman (General Director of BAS Consultancy). Bausch will stay closely involved with the company as a consultant.

After having achieved an average growth of over 30% every quarter for the past two years, it is expected that over the next few quarters, VeliQ will continue to grow under the leadership of Van Bijsterveld and Jager. "VeliQ will continue to concentrate on developing solutions for mobility and cloud service management together with its partners. Each of our partners use our platform differently. By focusing on collaboration with our partners, we are able to offer the right solutions to a huge range of customers and industries," explains Van Bijsterveld.
