Logicalis appointed to G-Cloud V

Logicalis selected for Specialist Cloud Services and Infrastructure-as-a-Service categories.

Logicalis has been appointed as an approved supplier by HM Government for the latest iteration of its G-Cloud initiative. Logicalis has been selected in both the Specialist Cloud Services and Infrastructure-as-a-Service categories entered, under the new G-Cloud V Framework Agreement, allowing these services to be available for procurement by government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector. The services will be available via the government procurement portal CloudStore.

Mike Wrout, Sales Director Local and Central Government, at Logicalis UK, said, "We have a longstanding partnership with the UK public sector in delivering innovative cloud and as-a-service solutions, including the UK's first hybrid cloud implementation, and are delighted to continue our involvement with the G-Cloud framework. We look forward to contributing further to the initiative, encouraging the adoption of cloud to help bring further innovation to the sector and ultimately, enable efficient services to citizens."

The UK Government's G-Cloud initiative aims to help public sector organisations become more responsive to ever changing needs. The procurement framework is used across the public sector by central and local governments, as well as health, emergency and educational services, devolved administrations and not-for-profit organisations.

Mark Starkey, Managing Director at Logicalis UK, concluded, "We're thrilled to have Logicalis services available through the G-Cloud V framework, having been successful in both of our entered categories. This supports our long-term commitment in providing the most innovative services and solutions to the public sector, helping institutions not only move to cloud-based services, but learn to fully understand and best use the cloud approach, in order to drive optimal results."
