Lowering the inherent skills level of applications development has led to some 5,700 users from 140 countries signing up for an Outsystems Platform personal account in the four months since it was first announced. It is available as a public cloud, private cloud and on-premises solution, and is available as a `freemium’ service that is based on the same robust enterprise application platform used by over 350 customers.

Typically, only seasoned programmers have been able to develop and deploy complex mobile and web applications, creating a strain and backlog within IT departments.
