Tech Mahindra has partnered with Microsoft to develop a Network Digital Twin solution designed to support the modernisation of telecom network operations. The collaboration aims to improve service performance and support the monetisation of next-generation 5G capabilities.

Built on Microsoft's Azure platform, the Network Digital Twin integrates high-volume network telemetry into a real-time, AI-ready data environment. The solution supports simulation and predictive modelling using Microsoft Foundry, Fabric IQ, and agentic AI frameworks. It is designed to enable AI-assisted reasoning, automated decision-making, and closed-loop orchestration across network operations, particularly for medium and large-scale telecom operators.

The solution is intended for operators, including those managing multi-vendor network environments, seeking greater operational agility and improved business outcomes. According to the companies, it supports service monetisation through SLA-driven offerings such as network slicing and edge orchestration, while also providing service assurance and risk prediction capabilities.

The platform is designed to help telecom operators move from traditional network management approaches to cloud-scale digital twins that use real-time telemetry and AI-driven automation. The companies state that this approach enables digital twins to move beyond visualisation and support operational decision-making in live network environments.

By combining simulation, unified data management, and AI capabilities, the solution is intended to support data-driven decision-making throughout the network lifecycle. It is designed to help optimise infrastructure investments, improve asset utilisation, enhance governance, and reduce operational overheads.

The partnership expands Tech Mahindra's portfolio of AI-focused telecom solutions by incorporating Microsoft's cloud, data, and AI technologies. The companies state that customers will have access to an integrated technology ecosystem intended to support secure and scalable deployment, improve operational efficiency and service quality, and create opportunities for additional business value.
