The increasing complexity of digital operations highlights the need for effective solutions to manage sensitive data across networks and ecosystems. In this context, Kiteworks has formed an alliance with Kasm, aiming to enhance secure data handling within organisations.

The partnership combines Kiteworks’ managed data governance capabilities with Kasm’s zero-trust browser isolation and Desktop-as-a-Service technology. The integration is designed to support collaboration while maintaining security controls.

Organisations face challenges in securely exchanging data across multiple channels and partners. As threats grow more sophisticated and regulatory requirements become stricter, traditional approaches may be insufficient. The Kiteworks-Kasm alliance aims to address these challenges by providing governance and visibility across data interactions.

Using a unified policy engine, Kiteworks maintains security and oversight across many data channels. Kasm’s container streaming technology isolates data interactions, reducing the risk of exfiltration and protecting endpoints.

The alliance is relevant for enterprises adopting artificial intelligence (AI) while meeting requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and FCA PS21/3. Kiteworks applies zero-trust policies along with logging and compliance reporting, while Kasm’s isolated workspaces aim to ensure AI workflows are secure, controlled, and auditable.

For organisations adhering to frameworks like the UK AI Safety Institute and SDAIA, the combined platform aims to provide tools to support accountable AI workflows and regulated interactions.

Maintaining secure access to sensitive information in distributed environments is a key concern. Kiteworks seeks to enforce detailed access controls, and Kasm aims to ensure that the data environments remain isolated and governed by policy, extending control from initial governance to end-user consumption.

The collaboration between Kiteworks and Kasm aims to provide a framework for managing and protecting critical data, supporting both privacy and operational efficiency in modern digital environments.
