DigiCert, an intelligent trust solutions provider, has launched a localised instance of DigiCert ONE in India, aiming to deliver high-performance trust services within the nation's borders. This introduction signifies DigiCert's investment in India, aligning with the country's burgeoning digital era and data sovereignty objectives.

Available now, the India-based DigiCert ONE seeks to empower businesses to execute digital trust operations domestically, adhering to compliance, data sovereignty, and performance demands. With complex regulations in sectors like banking, healthcare, and telecommunications, organisations grapple with current guidelines. This unified platform aims to streamline compliance, aligning enterprises with national standards while reducing regulatory hurdles.

"India is central to DigiCert’s global growth and innovation strategy," commented James Cook, APAC Group Vice President at DigiCert. The inauguration of a local DigiCert ONE instance helps demonstrate a commitment to facilitating efficient, compliant, and confident operations from the outset.

India's strategic weight in DigiCert's plans is significant. Presently, almost 75% of DigiCert's engineering workforce resides in India, working from offices in Bangalore and Pune. These teams are important to trust infrastructure safeguarding the global internet, encompassing engineering, product management, and customer success. With over 350 digital trust experts, India is DigiCert's largest employee hub globally.

Thousands of Indian clientele, engaged through direct and collaborative channels, seek to benefit from DigiCert's offerings. Over the last year, the company has doubled its engagements, welcoming key enterprise partners across diverse arenas like ITES and BFSI. Hosting DigiCert ONE locally aims to increase DigiCert's capacity to cater to these enterprises at scale, surmounting challenges of data residency, governance, and operational efficiency.

Anant Deshpande, Regional Vice President, noted the ease of adoption with this local rollout. DigiCert ONE in India helps organisations comply with current regulatory requirements and provides a platform that can support future updates, including reduced certificate lifecycles and post-quantum security.

This launch helps strengthen DigiCert's philosophy of regionalised DigiCert ONE operations to meet local compliance and sovereignty mandates. Beyond India, DigiCert ONE operates through local setups in Australia, Europe, Japan, and the USA.
