BackBox, a provider of network cyber resilience solutions, has partnered with Nomios, a European cybersecurity services provider. Together, they aim to enhance network visibility and automation mechanisms for IT and security teams.

In today's digital environment, Nomios has identified an increasing intricacy in client networks as they expand. As a result, the need for efficient network management and automation has emerged. Teams are often challenged by the size and complexity of these networks, particularly when manual methods are employed. This complexity increases with multiple vendors, each using their own management software.

Richard Landman, Marketing & Portfolio Director at Nomios Netherlands, highlights the complexities of managing network devices and ensuring their resilience. BackBox’s support for various device manufacturers, such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper Networks, seeks to enable device backup, streamline processes, and provide effective network infrastructure management.

In addition to multi-device support, Nomios is exploring integration with adjacent toolsets. The BackBox platform, through its API-first framework, seeks to support organisations like Nomios, facilitating enhanced cyber resilience while strengthening operational efficiency within existing systems.

Nomios plans to leverage BackBox's vulnerability intelligence capabilities to evaluate current configurations and offer guidance on CVE workarounds or mitigations. This approach is designed to simplify the review, prioritisation, and remediation of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), thereby supporting network security.

The collaboration highlights the challenges of managing multi-vendor networks, characterised by unique vendors, tools, and varied levels of progress across organisations. By aligning closely with affiliate partners like Nomios, BackBox aims to aid customers in strengthening network visibility, compliance standards, and safeguarding their telecom infrastructures.

BackBox works with over 500 enterprises globally as a cyber resilience platform. The platform supports devices from more than 180 vendors and includes a library of pre-designed automations with a no-code interface for ease of use.

BackBox seeks to provide teams with tools to automate key procedures, maintain business continuity during disruptions, and support timely recovery. Through functionalities like backups, OS updates, configuration compliance, and vulnerability management, BackBox aims for consistent outcomes.
