Pegasystems has entered a five-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This partnership is set to revolutionize how enterprises leverage Pega's powerful tools in conjunction with AWS's cutting-edge generative AI services like Amazon Bedrock and AWS Transform.

The collaboration aims to accelerate legacy modernization projects, freeing enterprises from cumbersome technical debts. By empowering clients to harness agentic automation across workflows, organizations can transform and modernize without the common disruptions associated with such transitions.

A survey conducted by Pega in collaboration with research firm Savanta highlights the ongoing struggle with technical debt. Notably, 68% of IT decision-makers report that outdated systems hinder their potential to embrace innovative, transformative technologies like artificial intelligence and automation.

Under the new agreement, Pega's AI-based platform will integrate with AWS advanced services. One vital component, AWS Transform, employs agentic AI workflows that automate the complete modernization lifecycle. Additionally, Pega Blueprint, a cloud-based application, accelerates the design and development of Pega-driven workflow applications. These tools together enable efficient cloud migration, paving the way for dynamic business operations without interruption.

The integration of Amazon Bedrock further enriches Pega's solutions. This managed service acts as a foundational generative AI feature for Pega Blueprint and the Pega PlatformTM. With participating companies such as Anthropic, Amazon, Cohere, and Meta, clients can confidently implement Amazon Bedrock's large language models (LLMs), benefiting from secure and seamless application development oversight.

The strategic alignment also positions Pega to prioritize sales within the AWS Marketplace, reinforcing its Pega-as-a-Service offering. The initiative promises streamlined transitions from on-premises setups to cloud solutions, granting clients access to consequential financial benefits and a reduced timeframe from contract to innovation.

Beyond streamlined operational processes, the comprehensive migration services offered guide clients smoothly through the Pega-as-a-Service transition, enabling organizations to effectively engage customers, deliver enhanced services, and run efficient operations.

The collaboration marks a significant step for organizations aiming to break away from traditional incremental system updates in favor of establishing robust AI-driven productivity enhancements. In the AI era, leveraging strategic partnerships with platforms like Pega and technologies like AWS enables organizations to capture tangible value and reinforce business agility.

Chris Grusz, managing director, technology partners, of AWS said “Generative AI is not only revolutionizing what customers can build in the cloud, but with services like AWS Transform, it's fundamentally changing how quickly and seamlessly they can get to the cloud in the first place. Our strategic collaboration with Pega ... provides customers with powerful tools to escape technical debt without disrupting critical business operations."
