It provides a flexible framework for supporting multiple device form factors built for different usages under a common connector with a set of functional, electrical, and thermal requirements.”
“The SNIA SFF Technology Affiliate is honored to receive this Award from FMS,” said Paul Coddington, Co-Chair of the SNIA SFF TA and Engineer at Amphenol Corporation. “The EDSFF family of specifications, while starting as an SSD form factor, has expanded to more devices such as computational accelerators, Network Interface Cards (NICs), and the JEDEC® CXL® Memory Module (CMM). EDSFF is able to scale into various storage models from workstations to data centers and eliminates the problem of having multiple connectors and dedicated regions in the server for storage, memory, NICs, and other devices.”
