Ultima launches Cloud Analyse service to guarantee SMBs 20% saving

If your cloud estate isn’t configured properly, constantly monitored and updated, its likely it will be leaving your business open to attack and costing more than it should. Cloud specialist and automation services provider, Ultima, is launching its Cloud Analyse service to help SMBs reduce their cloud costs, improve security and effectively protect their revenue and reputation.

Cloud Analyse offers SMBs the chance to have a free assessment of their cloud estate over four weeks with actionable insights provided at the end. Using its Cloud Management Platform, IA-Cloud, Ultima will provide each SMB with a personalised report on their cloud environment and help them understand how to reduce Opex and align with industry best practice.

One services company who has already used the Cloud Analyse service found they could reduce costs by moving from four to two operational regions, orphaning services not in use, and downgrading their storage disks without loss of service quality. The Cloud Analyse service has saved the company £18,000 per year, which represented 30% savings against their annual consumption. But most importantly the review highlighted their VPN was in a ‘failed’ state and their WordPress websites were not secure, so both needed immediate updating to prevent vulnerability to attack. Cloud Analyse led the business to implement more robust security policies and align better with ISO27001 to keep themselves secure.

James Hunnybourne, Cloud Solutions Director, Ultima says, “We know it’s almost impossible for small and medium sized enterprises to keep up to speed with all the latest regulatory requirements and potential vulnerabilities in their cloud estates as well as focus on cost optimisation. With over 70 cloud consultants we’re offering SMBs a non-obligation chance to access our deep expertise to help them improve their cloud estate management and optimise their cloud costs, as well as ‘test’ how secure their estate is. We’re confident our service will help SMBs save 20% of their public cloud costs, and if it doesn’t, we’ll give them a year’s free use of IA-Cloud.

“Our analysis service is designed to assess an SMBs cloud footprint, in order to identify cost savings, deviations from best practice, as well as provide guidance around the introduction of optimisation and automation tools. Created for organisations who are already consuming Azure services, this free consultant-led engagement provides insights to company’s existing cloud workloads, architecture, security, and documentation” says Hunnybourne.
