The Smartia and Lenovo collaboration brings together innovative artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and high-performance computing, with the aim to accelerate digital transformation for companies that are not currently looking to deploy solutions in the cloud. Computing and data are fundamental parts of AI solutions and working together will enable customers to simplify their infrastructure and to get more out of their data faster.

By including Smartia’s Industrial Intelligence platform MAIO in the Lenovo suite of Servers, Edge Servers and Workstations, it will allow consumers of industrial data to quickly generate actionable insights for agile and strategic business decisions. It’s data connectivity, streaming and storage capabilities as well as a robust AI framework to build and manage multiple AI and ML applications makes the solution hugely powerful for customers around the globe. Smartia deliver production ready AI and Machine Learning solutions that can be deployed at scale on Lenovo technology

Industrial companies recognise that there is huge value in the data they create and store, they now need to start planning on how to capitalise on that value as quickly as possible.  The manufacturing and engineering sectors are one of the largest producers of data and it stems from production equipment, machines, sensors and other operational data sources. This is where Smartia and its MAIO software platform can provide the solutions to unlock the value and insights hidden in the data.

There are also complex challenges for IT in manufacturing, driven by the use of robotics, integration of distributed sensor networks, and the need for low-latency communications.  These often create computing demands and challenges that quickly outgrow the capabilities of traditional IT. Lenovo’s hardware solutions can help address these difficulties and bring the latest in computing technology to companies of any size. These solutions can also scale as requirements will change relatively quickly over time.

Chris Price, CMO of Smartia comments, “Many industrial companies are using dashboards and business intelligence tools to visualise and explore their data. They are now looking to take the next step and enhance their processes with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. However, developing, deploying and running these types of applications requires new IT hardware solutions, especially if it is on-premise. This is where Lenovo comes in, by combining their hardware technology and our MAIO software platform, we can provide a complete AI solution package ready to deploy with very little fuss.”

Michelle Gulrajani, UKI Channel Sales Manager, Lenovo comments, “Working together with Smartia will catapult the Intelligent Transformation of the manufacturing industry and further enable breakthroughs in smart manufacturing.”
