AEG Power Solutions upgrades Protect A

AEG Power Solutions has introduced the enhanced version of its Protect A series of line-interactive step wave uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).

Protect A is an uninterruptible power supply designed to avoid irreparable damage to user’s data and systems, and eliminate significant financial loss caused by overvoltage or surge which are a normal part of any electrical grid. With easy installation and compact footprint, Protect A will assure power protection and provide several minutes runtime in case mains power fails (load dependent).

The new model of AEG Power Solutions’ reliable Protect A line-interactive UPS now provides higher power density with power output up to 1.6 kVA while fitting in an even more the compact housing than its predecessor.

The new generation UPS was designed to offer an optimized and economic power protection primarily for desktop IT systems while introducing new features to improve user experience. One of the most important new feature for end customers is the front panel access fast charging USB ports which are there to meet any standard electronic charging needs.

In addition to the higher power rating, Protect A can now deliver a higher charging current which enables 4h charge to 90% (for nominal input voltage), decreasing the former charge time by 50% and therefore increasing availability of the UPS. Protect A also benefits of an APFC (Active Power Factor Correction) feature which leads to better energy utilization and reduces the capacity of the UPS required to protect the equipment.

The upgrade also includes an informative front panel with LCD display which is supported by intuitive, icon indicated software which will provide you with most important parameters about the status of your UPS at a glance.

Protect A is part of the AEG Power Solutions’ intelligent and energy efficient 1-phase UPS range for small office and home office applications.

“Thanks to these latest improvements, we have further developed Protect A specifications and features, while improving the user interface and keeping a very compact unit,” says Mirna Smrekar, Product Manager at AEG Power Solutions. “In this age of data driven life, our new version of Protect A models provides reliability, and increased availability of power for all our customers worldwide making sure all your data is always protected.”
