Aruba’s Data Centre A (DC-A), which was opened in October 2017 in Ponte San Pietro (Bergamo), near Milan, is the largest data centre campus in Italy, with a total surface area of 17,500m², a net surface area dedicated to data rooms equal to 10,000m² and 10 independent data rooms. This data centre is almost completely booked up, which is why development work has begun even faster than planned on two data centre buildings that will treble the available capacity.
In the first year of operations at the campus, Aruba has worked with large companies from a range of sectors, including logistics, automotive, electronics and services companies. Many The campus has also been chosen by many small and medium-sized businesses for its colocation services.
Major longstanding partnerships have also been consolidated, contributing to the Data Centre’s technological qualities – including partnerships with Dell EMC, Intel, NetApp, Cisco, VMware, Veeam, Zerto. Aruba has also consolidated partnerships with the likes of Honeywell, Fiamm – Hitachi, Sunpower, Socomec and Stulz to support its data centre infrastructure.
Aruba continues to focus its attention and investment on security, guaranteed by the Certifications awarded to its Data Centers, including ISO 27001 for maximum security when it comes to managing company information and data, ISO 9001 for improving organizational management and processes, and ISO 14001 which guarantees an ongoing commitment to pursuing environmental sustainability objectives in various aspects of business. It also complies with the highest standards of resilience stipulated by ANSI TIA 942 Rating 4, which classifies data centers as infrastructures capable of avoiding service disruption thanks to the highest levels of redundancy at their sites.
