Axial has signed an agreement with its distributor partner, Securicom Global, to adopt the Aqua Security Platform, and it is now actively targeting its extensive network of customers and prospects with Aqua’s Container Security Platform.

“Containers are an increasingly important element of IT operations and agile practices within businesses today,” says Mike Simmonds, managing director Axial Systems. “They are easy to deploy, elastic, scalable and flexible. They are also an excellent alternative to virtual machines in that they are more lightweight and use fewer resources but as with every new technology,  there are inevitably security issues to address.

“With containers being a growing focus across many of our accounts, including several of our largest customers, and line with our own policy of developing and engaging with innovative solutions, we set about finding a partner capable of dealing with this challenge. Through our distributor relationship with Securicom Global, we discovered Aqua, now established as market leaders in the container security sector.”

David Shaw, managing director, Securicom Global, commented: “Securicom Global is delighted to be supplying Axial Systems with the Aqua Container Security Platform. The selection of the Aqua platform places Axial Systems at the forefront of burgeoning market demand for containerisation and will provide enterprise customers with development-to-production lifecycle controls for securing containerised applications that run on-premises or in the cloud, on Windows or Linux, supporting multiple orchestration environments”.

Axial is already working closely with Aqua to develop opportunities with existing and new customers and prospects.

“We were looking for an established partner that understands the security market, that have a strong customer base and that also have expertise in selling security solutions,” says David Shaw, Securicom Global . “Axial fitted the bill perfectly in all three respects and it also has extensive experience in bringing new technology to market – another key factor for us.”

Summing up, Axial’s Simmonds says: “Ultimately, the partnership helps reduce the risk of innovation for businesses that are looking to adopt new container technology. By helping deliver the Aqua Security Platform to the marketplace and backing it up with service and support, we are effectively addressing the security risks presented by containers and paving the way for more businesses to tap into the benefits of this exciting new approach.”
