DE-CIX pops into Zenium Istanbul One

Expanded footprint delivers greater connectivity and enhanced end-user Internet experience.

DE-CIX's new Point of Presence (PoP) at the Zenium Istanbul One data center in Turkey is now ‘on-network’ and fully operational.

The new PoP extends the reach of DE-CIX Istanbul, a carrier and data center-neutral Internet exchange distributed across data centers throughout the Istanbul metro area. DE-CIX Istanbul’s Internet exchange provides IP interconnection (“peering”) for the entire Internet ecosystem, which includes hosting companies, content delivery networks, Internet service providers (ISPs) and operators of broadband Internet access from Turkey, the Balkans, the Caucasus region, Persia and the Middle East.

“There is increasing demand for high quality, high speed, reliable Internet connectivity in Turkey and neighbouring geographies,” said B?lent ?en, DE-CIX Regional Director of Turkey. “The benefit of exchanging traffic locally, within the region, not only offers cost efficiencies but also delivers reliability of service,” he explains.

Zenium Istanbul One provides the highly resilient infrastructure that DE-CIX required.  Considered a ‘premium data center partner’, DE-CIX was confident that Zenium had both the capacity and capability to support their expanding footprint.

Franek Sodzawiczny, Founder and CEO of Zenium added, “Uninterrupted service delivery is essential for businesses that require a reliable, on-demand yet low latency service. Our proximity to the International Financial Centre in Istanbul means we are in a unique position to support both the DE-CIX Istanbul exchange and also the Turkish business and finance community. We are delighted to further cement our longstanding relationship with DE-CIX within the Istanbul market.”
