HyperGrid, the pioneer in creating and delivering the world’s first and only container-based, application-aware HyperConverged Infrastructure-as-a-Service (HCIaaS) solution, has announced major enhancements for their industry leading HyperForm offering.  Based on revolutionary DCHQ technology,  HyperForm accelerates the deployment and provides “single pane of glass” management of traditional applications as well as cloud-native applications seamlessly across any cloud or container infrastructure.

HyperForm simplifies the application journey to containers and provides advanced plug-ins that can be invoked at more than 20 different lifecycle stages, enabling a PaaS-like experience but with the cloud-agnostic advantages of containers.

The major enhancements to HyperForm include:

·    Simplifying the containerisation of legacy applications: Existing Docker composition platforms require significant changes to the application code and continuous integration workflows for containerisation. HyperForm eliminates these challenges by providing “on-the-fly containerisation” capabilities that allow users to deploy existing application artifacts on official base images while taking care of the complex application dependencies, service discovery, application storage automation and the post-provision updates.  Access 70+ examples and 20+ detailed blogs covering the simplified containerization and deployment of Java and .NET applications.

·    Support for Docker Swarm: HyperForm now supports Docker Swarm for host clustering and container scheduling, providing users the option to leverage Docker Swarm or Weave to set up clusters (or pools of servers) for Docker application deployment. While many Docker orchestration platforms have diverged from standard Docker technologies, HyperForm fully embraces the Docker platform and ecosystem, supporting Docker Engine, Docker Registry, Docker Machine and Docker Compose.

·    Infrastructure Automation capabilities now extended to Microsoft Hyper-V: In addition to existing VMWare and KVM support, HyperForm now automates VM provisioning, approval workflows, and granular entitlements needed to provide tailored infrastructure services on Hyper-V.  Users can now connect multiple Hyper-V nodes or failover clusters through a single proxy and customise the entitlements and quotas per registered node or cluster. HyperForm empowers users to provision virtual machines via a UI-based workflow or standardised YAML machine blueprints (i.e. blueprint as code) in the self-service library on Hyper-V nodes or Hyper-V Failover Clusters.  See blog covering HyperForm integration with MS Active Directory. http://dchq.co/blog/hyperforms-integration-with-microsoft-active-directory

“Unlike recent announcements from Cloud and infrastructure vendors on their intent to focus on workload mobility, HyperForm provides that mobility today and is available for immediate download,” said  Amjad Afanah, Vice President of Products at HyperGrid.

Afanah also adds: “Unlike other vendors who focus purely on VMs or containers, we focus on containerising the application to run in any environment so our customers can reap the benefits of application agility and portability.”
