Following the acquisition of the consulting arm of Spinnaker Red, Pulsant has announced the appointment of Todd Whaley to the position of director of professional services.
Whaley has over 30 years of experience in the field of IT Services, spanning from technical solution architecture to senior management roles, with the past five years focusing on developing economic and innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Whaley has worked across multiple industries over his three-decade long career, and has developed industry knowledge and skills in banking, insurance, telecoms, media, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. Whaley’s years of experience demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit — he founded, developed, ran and sold three IT professional services companies, one of which was Spinnaker Red. He also fulfilled various strategic roles with companies like Merrill Lynch, Digital/Compaq and Hutchinson Telecom.
As a result of the acquisition by Pulsant, Todd has joined the cloud computing, managed hosting and colocation company as director of professional services, along with a team of the senior principal consultants from Spinnaker Red.
The consulting business of Spinnaker Red provides IT business advisory, specialist services and IT transformation and innovation services across the complete technology infrastructure landscape. These services complement and enhance Pulsant’s IT consultancy and managed services, enabling the company to place a further focus on cloud advisory and hybrid IT computing.
“This is a very positive step forward, supporting and enabling the rapid growth of professional services,” says Whaley. “Professional services is the ideal complement to Pulsant’s range of value solutions and truly emphasises the company’s focus on supporting the customer. We’ve seen increased demand from customers wanting to maximise the benefits of their IT solutions and optimise their IT environments, especially with the increasing market changes. We can now truly deliver an all-round set of solutions that meets the strategic requirements of both new and existing customers.
“I look forward to leading the professional services division along with supporting and driving the progressive strategy of hybrid IT services, not only to meet the needs of current customers, but to successfully fulfil Pulsant’s business objectives for the future.”
