Informatica appoints Steve Murphy as senior vice president EMEA field operations

Data industry veteran to drive growth across Europe, Middle East and Africa regions and lead expansion into new markets.

Informatica has appointed Steve Murphy as senior vice president, EMEA. Steve brings over two decades of technology experience and is responsible for driving the growth of EMEA and the development of new markets as Informatica aims to achieve its goal of further establishing Informatica as the global leader in data management.
 
Steve has deep data industry leadership and has been instrumental in the development and execution of sales, product development and market penetration strategies for various technology leaders, including spearheading the growth of companies such as EMC and Hewlett-Packard across the EMEA region. Steve’s most recent role as vice president of global & emerging markets at Hitachi Data Systems saw him oversee the company’s operations across Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Pakistan, Africa, as well as run its EMEA global accounts division and go to market strategy for industry verticals, focused on social innovation and big data.
