“Hortonworks has always been committed to partnering with customers to make their big data projects as successful as possible,” said Herb Cunitz, president of Hortonworks. “We are leveraging our expertise to simplify big data and help our customers transform into data driven enterprises. The new Hortonworks Big Data Scorecard will accelerate our customers big data vision and greatly propel business transformation.”

The Hortonworks Big Data Scorecard framework includes an easy five-step assessment including:
1.       How ready an organization is for a big data strategy and plan
2.       The organization’s current data and analytics pipeline
3.       Qualify the technology and infrastructure to turn an organization’s big data goal into a reality
4.       If the right people and skills are present to take the project to the next level
5.       Defining goals and metrics to showcase big data success

The analysis is performed quickly using the free Hortonworks Big Data Scorecard Survey, which is available for immediate use.

Following the survey, the Joint Innovation Program is then available to customers to identify opportunities in their industry, build a holistic strategy and deliver a plan that leads to real business transformation. Using the Design Thinking methodology, Hortonworks and its customers will team up to complete an innovation workshop to understand the customer’s business needs, develop a business case and create a roadmap plan to track progress and showcase success.
