Trustmarque Solutions has signed a deal to provide professional services and cloud hosting to the UK’s largest vehicle rental company, Northgate Vehicle Hire. Trustmarque will be providing a geo-redundant, cloud-based service from two data centres, hosting core Northgate business applications and underlying infrastructure. Critical Northgate business applications, including its Cisco UC application and the vehicle booking system used for all 76 branches, will now be hosted in Trustmarque’s data centres; delivering 99.999% availability and ensuring data can be securely accessed from anywhere in the world.

“As we continue to grow our business, we want to match that growth with an enterprise-grade IT environment that offers the agility benefits of cloud, with the peace of mind that our ongoing licencing requirements are satisfied,” said Richard Harris, CIO at Northgate. “For us, the critical factor when it comes to our infrastructure is ensuring the business continuity of services. Trustmarque really stood out in this area and was able to demonstrate its expertise in providing data centre services.”

“Following our merger with Trinity earlier in the year, we have broadened our software, professional and cloud services offering, to offer an end-to-end capability” said Angelo Di Ventura, Group Sales & Marketing Director at Trustmarque. “For businesses like Northgate, there is huge advantage in them being able to deal with an IT supplier that can provide them with the services and technical expertise they require. Through our understanding of customers’ technical and business needs, and by delivering cloud services on their terms, we can ensure IT investments are maximised.”
