Advanced 365 SME selects Telstra to help provide Infrastructure-as-a-Service to the UK SME market

Gives SMEs access to a market-leading cloud infrastructure and global network.

Leading IT managed service provider Advanced 365 SME (Advanced) has signed an agreement with Telstra, one of the largest telecommunications and media companies in the world, to provide Telstra’s scalable cloud infrastructure and resilient network solutions to Advanced’s UK customers.

This alliance will enable Advanced to offer UK SMEs access to one of the market’s leading cloud environments at affordable prices. Businesses will also benefit from being able to access Telstra’s data centre, situated in London Docklands, for other services such as co-location and unified communications.

Andy Brown, Managing Director of Advanced 365 (SME Division) said: “UK broadband connection speeds vary significantly and many businesses overlook the importance of having the right data centre infrastructure in place to maintain optimal operational performance. As a result, some organisations are suffering from excessive latency and decreasing network bandwidth, which causes inefficiencies and fluctuating customer service levels due to data bottlenecks.”

“Telstra’s state-of-the-art data centre, leading cloud offering and reputation for providing some of the lowest latency and most resilient network solutions in the world will enable us to provide comprehensive IT managed services to drive further growth.”

“Advanced’s customers can now benefit from network connection speeds which are significantly faster compared to average industry latency performance. They can also access Telstra’s high-spec enterprise infrastructure at a reasonable price and gain significant cost, performance and reliability benefits to improve their competitive advantage,” Andy said.

Tom Homer, Head of EMEA and the Americas, Telstra Global Enterprise & Services said: “Telstra’s cloud infrastructure will provide Advanced’s customers with consistency on a global scale through a standardised approach to technology and service. This enables us to provide an exceptional end-user experience, combining the flexibility of cloud computing with a high-performance, low latency world class network.”

“We are looking forward to working closely with Advanced, who – like Telstra – has an excellent reputation for service delivery,” Tom concluded.
