The  Dell reorganisation continues apace as the company moves into the applications development space with Salesforce as the primary target. Dell Services has just announced that it will provide its customers a complete portfolio of Services to enable development and migration of applications to the Salesforce Platform.

This expands Dell’s suite of cloud-based applications development, migration and managed services for customers on a platform of their choice. For customers looking to develop applications on the Salesforce Platform, Dell can now offer expert advisory and application migration services and also acts as a single point of contact for design, delivery and ongoing application management.

These services are designed to make it quicker and easier for customers to adopt the Salesforce Platform and exploit its benefits, including increased speed-to-market and agility, better collaboration across organisational boundaries, more modernised applications portfolios, and a greater ability to manage variable demand capacity needs.

Dell also offers the Cloud Consulting and Application Services, which, provides customers with guidance specific to their needs designed to help assess, build, operate and control cloud environments. This specialist team sets out to meet customers wherever they are in their cloud journey – whether they are just starting in cloud, already have significant cloud investments, or are somewhere in between. Together, these services complement Dell’s cloud focus areas of enabling private cloud, delivering multi-cloud management and supplying cloud builders.

“This collaboration helps Dell customers develop new applications using the cloud, on the platform that works best for their business,” said Raman Sapra, Executive Director and global head, Strategy and Business Innovation Services, Dell Services. “Customers will benefit not only from our strong Salesforce advisory services but also from Dell’s own successful implementation of the Salesforce Platform.
