Powering dynamic data centre efficiency

Borri presents new ultra-high efficiency mode ups technology guaranteeing unmatched energy savings in data centres at the Data Centre Dynamics Converged conference.

Borri Spa is a company based in Italy, specialised in custom design, manufacturing and servicing of power electronics equipment for industrial and ICT applications. After the Dubai and Milan editions, it will participate as a Platinum sponsor at the Data Centre Dynamics Converged in London and will be exhibiting with its United Kingdom exclusive distributor Borri Ltd on Stand 45.

Designed to deliver unmatched energy savings in data centres, Borri’s most recent three phase UPS solution incorporates a newly patented Green Conversion technology, which was used for the renowned global integrated energy company Eni’s latest generation high reliability (tier IV) multi-purpose (IT/HPC) green data centre. Its unique Green Conversion mode enables this innovative UPS solution to deliver the best PUE for data centres and therefore has a minimum impact on the environment.

Borri Spa’s President and Chief Technical Officer said: "The needs of latest generation data centres in their continuous search for greater energy savings can now be met with our new Green Conversion technology, which is designed to significantly improve efficiency, using the conversion made by the UPS only when needed. Eni’s green data centre has adopted this solution and will benefit from an annual average PUE of less than 1.2"
Borri Spa’s CEO, Fausto Beoni added: “Our 80 years of experience in customised solutions and the pursuit of excellence has resulted in continuous development of advanced technologies to meet the needs of our customers.

“We provide secure, reliable, sustainable power protection systems to safeguard mission-critical applications and reduce energy consumption all over the world. Listening to our customers has allowed us to grow steadily on an international scale.

“The UK is a very valuable market for us and we are confident that our new technology coupled with Borri Ltd’s highly professional onsite support will facilitate our exclusive distributor for the UK in continuing to improve the efficiency of data centres across Britain."

Committed to the ongoing UPS technology developments carried out by Borri Spa, Borri Ltd’s managing director, Ian Tucker commented: “The UPS solutions engineered by Borri Spa are of the highest technical and manufacturing quality. Their global reputation for resilience and industry leading efficiency has made them extremely popular within the UK and we are proud to offer the British market Borri’s high quality innovative systems.”
From its UK based facility, Borri Ltd holds stocks of over 4MVA for immediate despatch with witness testing facilities up to 500kVA. The company’s team of specialist engineers are available to provide 24 hour back-up support nationwide.

Borri Ltd’s sales team and representatives from Borri Spa will be based at stand 45 and available to discuss all aspects of data centre design.
