Attenda partners with Datum

Expanding its portfolio of hosting and infrastructure services with the delivery of enterprise class colocation services, fully embraced within the Attenda Service Management layer.

Attenda Limited has formed a technology partnership with Datum Datacentres to deliver high quality, service-based colocation to its Clients and Business Partners, fully embraced within the Attenda service management layer, as an integral part of its foundation managed services market offering.

The latest partnership announcement reinforces Attenda’s commitment to extending its portfolio of services, to satisfy the increasing demand for colocation services from its existing Client base. The Datum Farnborough datacentre is also the home of Attenda’s managed services platform, providing a secure campus location, with resilient power and connectivity; and easy access from the main transport networks. The new datacentre provides an important extension to Attenda’s network of data centres, with point to point connection to the other datacentres and multiple connectivity options.

As Mark Fowle, Attenda CEO comments, “Our partnership with Datum is key to our business strategy and provides us not only with the capacity that we require to support our continued growth, but it also opens up new opportunity for high quality, competitively priced, colocation services for our Clients, yet still provided within the Attenda service management regime.”

Datum Datacentres, launched in January 2013, is a new type of datacentre provider, delivering environmentally intelligent, secure and resilient datacentres, with 100% Client Service focused approach. The foundation for the business is to provide an optimised platform based on the efficient use of power. The innovative hybrid free air cooling solution delivers industry leading levels of energy efficiency and as a result significantly reduces the running costs and carbon footprint of the datacentres; with savings that can be passed on directly to Attenda Clients.

As Dominic Phillips, Managing Director, Datum, comments on the partnership with Attenda, “We are delighted that Attenda has chosen Datum for its new datacentre, partnering with us to provide enterprise-class colocation and datacentre services to its clients. We look forward to becoming an integral part of Attenda’s extended portfolio of services, addressing the needs of the enterprise mid-market.”

The new colocation services, form part of the Attenda foundation services offering, and are ideally suited for active-active site replication, disaster recovery, in-house infrastructure replacement or external datacentre provider competitive contract renewals; where clients are seeking improved service quality and a long lasting relationship with their service provider.

Mark Fowle, Attenda CEO adds, “The Datum facility provides the ‘Kite Mark’ of quality that is essential to our Business Critical IT approach and positioning; utilising proven technology to deliver efficient, secure, service-based colocation.”
