Due to the complexity and volume of data involved in litigation, corporate investigations, and regulatory audits, organizations are increasingly bringing e-discovery in-house to reduce the associated cost while mitigating the risk. The new services help companies bring e-discovery in-house, including review and production, with EnCase® eDiscovery, the market-leading solution for e-discovery professionals. Information technology and legal teams will also gain deeper insights into e-discovery best practices and receive expert assistance to apply to their business processes.
“An in-house e-discovery approach that dramatically reduces risks and costs involves more than just technology. It involves people and practices, too,” said Amanda Berger, vice president of Professional Services for Guidance Software. “Our customers have asked us for best practices-focused services that can both speed implementation and ensure their e-discovery processes will scale to meet their requirements today and in the future.”
The first new service from Guidance Software, EnCase eDiscovery Started Right, helps new EnCase eDiscovery customers accelerate bringing e-discovery in-house, while instituting best practices from the beginning. The Guidance Software consultants help with initiating the first case using EnCase eDiscovery. Tailored to the organization’s approach to e-discovery, this may include guidance through legal hold, early case assessment, collection, preservation, processing, review, and production.
EnCase eDiscovery Done Right assists current EnCase eDiscovery customers with adopting additional e-discovery functions in house. After an initial assessment of the customer’s existing e-discovery environment, Guidance Software consultants instill best practices into the entire e-discovery workflow, while optimizing governance, risk-management, and compliance capabilities. Guidance Software service professionals can also help define and create a litigation-response team.
