Siemon publishes white paper on low loss fibre in the data centre

Siemon has published a white paper entitled ‘The Need for Low-Loss Multifibre Connectivity in Today’s Data Centre’. The paper considers optical insertion loss budgets, of particular concern for data centre managers in today’s large, virtualized server environments, with longer distance 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet backbone switch-to-switch deployments for networking and storage area networks (SANs).
