Paessler has announced the appointment of Mav Turner as its new Chief Product Officer. The company states this move relates to its ongoing work in developing monitoring solutions for IT and OT environments.

Mav Turner has around 15 years of experience in product leadership roles across network management and AI-related software. His recent position was Chief Product Officer at Kentik. Before that, he held senior product and strategy roles at Tricentis. He also spent around ten years at SolarWinds, where he reached Vice President of Product Management and led the MSP business unit, which later became N-able in 2021.

The monitoring sector for IT and OT systems is increasingly incorporating more proactive approaches, moving beyond reactive issue detection toward automated or autonomous remediation in some cases. Within this context, Paessler is developing its monitoring offerings.

Paessler’s PRTG platform uses an agentless architecture designed for faster deployment compared with some traditional monitoring tools. It provides monitoring across network devices, servers, cloud environments, and IoT systems, with the aim of consolidating visibility within a single platform. Following investment activity from Turn/River Capital in 2024, the product has added features including anomaly detection and sensor recommendations intended to support operational monitoring.

With Mav Turner in the role of Chief Product Officer, Paessler has stated that development will continue on PRTG’s existing capabilities, including usability improvements and expansion across additional environments. The company has also indicated continued focus on AI-related features to support more proactive monitoring.

The company’s plans also include further international expansion across engineering and go-to-market functions.
