Vertiv enhanced manufacturing with expansion in the Americas

Vertiv announces the expansion of four manufacturing facilities in the Americas to increase production capacity for infrastructure solutions, power management, and integrated cabinets supporting data centre and AI workloads.

Vertiv has expanded its manufacturing capacity with four new or upgraded facilities across the Americas, increasing production for infrastructure solutions, power management, and integrated cabinet systems.

As data centres continue to scale to meet growing demand, particularly from AI-driven workloads, the company is focusing on supporting faster deployment of infrastructure and future-ready capacity.

The four regional developments include:

South Carolina: Two manufacturing facilities focused on infrastructure solutions used in data centre deployment. These sites are expected to significantly increase regional capacity. Vertiv integrated power modules are designed to reduce deployment times compared with traditional power system builds. The Vertiv SmartRun prefabricated solution is designed for data centre interior fit-outs, offering faster deployment than conventional approaches.

Pennsylvania: A new facility producing cabinets with integrated cooling systems to support high-density AI applications in data centres, aimed at improving manufacturing capacity and deployment efficiency.

Mexicali, Mexico: An expansion expected to increase regional capacity by around 45% for power conversion, conditioning, and distribution technologies used for both AI-related and traditional workloads.

The expansion reflects increasing demand for integrated infrastructure systems that combine power, cooling, IT, and services to support modern compute environments.

With increased manufacturing capacity across the region and an end-to-end infrastructure portfolio, Vertiv aims to support more efficient deployment and scaling of data centre infrastructure.
