OptiCool and CoreSite: enhancing data centre cooling efficiency

OptiCool Technologies has partnered with CoreSite to support cooling solutions in high-density data centres, addressing thermal constraints and power density requirements.

OptiCool Technologies, known for its two-phase rear door heat exchanger (RDHx) cooling solutions, has announced a partnership with CoreSite, an American Tower company. The collaboration is intended to support critical business and AI infrastructure by addressing thermal constraints and power density requirements in data centres.

As high-density technology deployments become more common, the role of cooling systems in enabling specific deployments has increased. OptiCool and CoreSite plan to use this development to support the deployment of cooling solutions for customers seeking higher-density environments within CoreSite facilities.

The partnership is also intended to support customers where cooling requirements present a constraint to infrastructure implementation. By working with CoreSite, OptiCool provides an additional route for addressing thermal management and power requirements, with the aim of supporting earlier evaluation of deployment options.

OptiCool provides two-phase heat extraction systems, including liquid cooling solutions designed to manage high heat loads in data centre environments. The company’s two-phase liquid refrigerant approach is designed to address increasing thermal demands in high-density deployments. Through the referral partnership with CoreSite, customers can engage, evaluate, and implement cooling approaches as part of their deployment planning.

The announcement is part of OptiCool’s ongoing efforts to expand partnerships within the data centre and channel ecosystem, in response to growing demand for cooling solutions in higher-density environments.

CoreSite continues to develop its data centre offerings based on customer requirements, including those related to high-density computing. Through this collaboration with OptiCool, CoreSite aims to support current requirements and evolving needs related to cooling in data centre environments.
