Expereo and Cato Networks launch joint enterprise connectivity solution

At TechEx in London, Expereo, a managed Network as a Service (NaaS) provider, and Cato Networks, a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) provider, announced a collaboration to deliver an integrated networking and security solution for global enterprises.

The collaboration combines underlay and overlay technologies, offering enterprises a consolidated platform as they transition to modern, cloud-native network architectures. By integrating Cato Networks' SASE platform with Expereo's underlay services, the partnership is designed to address network requirements for medium to large multinational enterprises operating across multiple regions.

Eric Wong, President of Asia Pacific at Expereo, said the collaboration is intended to reduce operational complexity by limiting the need for multiple vendors and fragmented solutions. He stated that enterprises will be able to scale and manage security through a single global partner. Jason Pender, AVP of Global Service Providers at Cato Networks, described the partnership as an alternative to legacy MPLS and multi-vendor network models.

Key elements of the collaboration include:

• Global Reach: Cato’s global backbone includes more than 85 Points of Presence (PoPs), while Expereo works with partners in over 190 countries, supporting connectivity across international locations.
• Digital Management Platform: Expereo’s expereoOne platform provides centralised control, visibility, and performance monitoring across underlay and overlay networks, as well as associated security and cloud environments.
• Direct Backbone Access: Direct on-ramps from Expereo’s underlay to Cato’s private backbone are intended to support lower latency and improved reliability for cloud and application traffic.

The companies state that the combined addressable market across SASE and connectivity represents approximately $105 billion. The collaboration aligns with broader enterprise trends away from traditional MPLS toward internet-based networking models. The companies also position the offering as supporting organisations undergoing AI-related infrastructure transformation through a single-provider approach.
