Riello UPS announces new M2X modular power system

Riello UPS has introduced the M2X, a modular protection solution for smaller data centres, aimed at supporting reliability and operational efficiency.

Riello UPS has expanded its modular series, Multi Power2, with the new M2X model. Designed specifically for smaller data centres and other mission-critical environments, the M2X offers protection ranging from 15 kW to 120 kW within a single unit.

The M2X is available with three hot-swappable 2U power modules including 15 kW IGBT, 15 kW Silicon Carbide, and 30 kW Silicon Carbide. Clients can also choose between two distinct cabinet options. The PCS cabinet is a standard power unit integrating input, bypass, manual bypass, and output switches, while the CBC cabinet combines these features with built-in batteries. Both solutions can be configured for N+1 redundancy and support flexible combinations of 15 kW and 30 kW modules. To further enhance scalability, cabinets can be paralleled—providing a total output of up to 720 kW.

For ease of use, the M2X features a 10-inch colour touchscreen display with a user-friendly interface, allowing streamlined navigation. Additionally, its 1U connectivity panel is integrated with a NetMan 208 communications card and other useful slots, facilitating UPS monitoring and management.

This unit forms part of the broader Multi Power2 range, which includes options such as the MP2 (300-500-600 kW) and the M2S Scalable (1000-1250-1600 kW). Collectively, these units aim to offer efficiency reaching up to 98.1% in online double conversion mode. This can lead to lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions, supporting sustainability goals while maintaining reliability.

The M2X, along with other modules from the Multi Power2 series, will be featured prominently at the Data Centre World show, part of Tech Show London, scheduled for 4-5 March. Riello UPS will be situated at stand D90, ready to engage with attendees and share insights into their range of data centre solutions.
