Critical power protection provider Riello UPS has upgraded its range of single-phase solutions, debuting the Sentinel Pro2 (SP2) and Sentinel Dual2 (SD2). These models replace the Sentinel Pro (SEP) and Sentinel Dual Low Power (SDH) series launched in 2011.
The revamped SP2 and SD2 aim to uphold their predecessors' reliability and flexibility while incorporating significant enhancements. Both series now feature a unity output power factor (pf1), which increases their operating efficiency up to 93.7%. Moreover, they sport new front panels designed for improved ventilation.
Designed with IT systems, networks, medical equipment, and sensitive industrial applications in mind, the SP2 is available in five power ratings—ranging from 700 to 3000 VA. Extended runtime (ER) versions are offered in the 1000, 2200, and 3000 VA models to support applications demanding several hours of battery autonomy.
The SP2's compact, freestanding design and low noise levels make it suitable for environments where space is limited. In a similar upgrade, the SDH series is succeeded by the Sentinel Dual2 (SD2), which offers a choice of 1000, 1500, 2200, or 3000 VA power ratings. The SD2 offers an increased online UPS efficiency of up to 93.7%, helping to optimise users' energy consumption and reduce emissions.
The SD2's versatile installation options include a freestanding tower or a 2U rackmounted version, making it suitable for various environments, such as small data centres, IT networks, electro-medical systems, VoIP telephone systems, and emergency lighting solutions.
Highlighted enhancements include a redesigned front panel and user-friendly configuration via a new Bluetooth-powered smartphone app or computer.
Leo Craig, Managing Director of Riello UPS Ltd, emphasised the user benefits of the new models, highlighting the enhanced efficiency, reliability, and user-friendly features provided by the SP2 and SD2.
