Riello UPS reveals Sentinel Tower range

Riello UPS has introduced new product delivering high performance and efficiency in a compact footprint.

Available in a 5-10 kVA power range, the Sentinel Tower (STW) is designed to protect mission-critical telecommunications and IT networks, along with security and lighting systems.

Manufactured using the most advanced double conversion online UPS technology, the STW delivers unity power factor and incorporates a three-level inverter that enables operating efficiency of up to 95%, minimising wasted energy.

Up to three Sentinel Towers can work together in parallel to offer redundancy and the flexibility to easily upscale when load requirements change. The UPS operates on a closed loop system which ensures it continues to run even if the cable connection is interrupted.

The 5-6 kVA versions are single-phase input and output power supplies, while the 8-10 kVA models are single or three-phase input and single-phase output.

Riello UPS General Manager Leo Craig commented: “Combining exceptional reliability and efficiency in such a compact footprint, the Sentinel Tower is a versatile choice suitable for sectors as diverse as healthcare, finance, and public transport.

“It comes with a whole host of user-friendly features, including a completely redesigned LCD display panel, built-in wheels for portability, and a wide range of sophisticated operating modes to improve performance and boost efficiency.”

Featuring automatic and manual battery testing functionality, the STW range also includes extended runtime versions equipped with 6A chargers for critical applications requiring several hours’ autonomy.

The introduction of the STW series is the latest of several recent product and service enhancements from Riello UPS. As well as upgrading both its best-selling Sentinel Dual (SDU) and NextEnergy (NXE) ranges with several new models, it also developed the Sentinel Rack (SER), a new rack-mounted version of its popular single-phase Sentinel Pro.

In addition, the power protection specialist unveiled a ground-breaking five-year warranty as standard on all UPS systems up to and including 3 kVA. This extended warranty applies to customers based in the UK and Ireland purchasing direct from Riello UPS or an approved reseller only.
