As i3 celebrates its 10th birthday, Ed Ansett, Founder & Chairman, reflects on some of the major changes he has witnessed in the data centre industry over the past 10 years, with sustainability looming large as the major, ongoing challenge. Ed believes that the industry has a major role to play in terms of helping to address the more general energy crisis being experienced in many countries, as it also seeks to make positive progress on the path to Net Zero.

Shining the sustainability spotlight on water usage and fusion power
Tom Kingham, Director Engineering Solutions Europe at CyrusOne, discusses the importance of truly efficient water usage within the data centre, while also providing a fascinating insight into the possibilities of fusion power as a virtually unlimited, clean future energy source - and one that is not dependent on the weather!

Liquid immersion cooling - the time is right
Jim Weynand, EVP, Business Development at GRC explains the company's liquid immersion cooling technology, its key partnerships with both server OEMs and major data centre infrastructure providers, and how he sees the data centre cooling market developing over time.

Time for a data centre sustainability revolution
James Rix, Project Director, Global Lead for Data Center & Mission Critical CoP, Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd, provides a detailed, nuanced and expert analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing the data centre industry when it comes to the supply chain, skills and, crucially, sustainability.
